Casting/Splinting Workshop

Wow! Fun times in the overflow room on the 1st floor!

For those of you who missed out, Dr. Becker and Dr. McKee taught us the basics of casting. Using stocking nets (sp?), felt rolls (like the stuff surrounding model trains and miniature Christmas towns), and bright red fiberglass (not fibroblast) rolls, we partnered up and casted each other.

pictures to come soon!

Quotes:
"Rub it like you love it!"
Dr. McKee taught that to ensure that the fiberglass layers "laminate" together well, you have to rub the cast (with rubber gloves) with your palms in a proximal-distal direction to cement the layers together (with vigor).

"Set it and forget it!"
From me. It was all I could think of as Agata rolled me up. I couldn't even remember what the product was, but I got the line. The others informed me it was for rotisserie chicken?
